She also expressed gratitude to President Trump, crediting her husband with playing a crucial role in mobilizing voters for Trump and Republican candidates, particularly in Arizona.
Erika spoke of her husband’s devotion, recalling his love for America, nature, and the Chicago Cubs, but emphasized that above all, he loved his children and family. With tears, she described telling their three-year-old daughter that “Daddy is on a work trip with Jesus.”

Quoting scripture before the tragedy, Erika had posted Psalm 46:1: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
