She stood there for a second longer than usual before taking the photo, adjusting the angle just enough to make sure everything looked exactly how she wanted. It wasn’t random. It wasn’t casual. Every detail was intentional. The lighting, the pose, the confidence—it all had one purpose. She didn’t send it directly, didn’t say a word. She simply posted it, knowing exactly who would see it and exactly what it was meant to do. Or at least, she thought she knew.

That silence started to feel louder than any response could have been. She checked again, scrolling through views, watching the numbers climb, but the one reaction she was waiting for never came. And that’s when the feeling shifted—from control to uncertainty.
