I married my boyfriend at eighteen because we were expecting a baby together. We were young, scared, and trying to build a future faster than either of us had imagined. The driver refused to accept payment for the trip and encouraged me not to give up on life. His unexpected kindness became the first moment of comfort I had experienced since losing my baby. Months later, I began rebuilding my life, and I never forgot the stranger who stopped his taxi that day simply to remind me that even in the darkest moments, compassion still exists.
