When I sent that picture to my husband, I never expected his reaction. In fact, I thought it would make him smile. It was an ordinary afternoon, the kind of day where nothing special seemed to happen. I was at home, relaxing after a long shift, and decided to snap a quick photo to show him something I thought was harmless.
A few minutes later, I saw that he had read my message. No reply. My phone stayed silent far longer than usual. Then, it buzzed — not with a loving text or even a question — but with something that made my stomach drop:
“We need to talk. I want a divorce.”
